Francis Fleming

Sir Francis Fleming KCMG (Ch菲林明; * 1842, † 1922) was a British colonial official.

Political offices

Fleming represented in its use as Chief Secretary to the island of Mauritius on 2 July 1887, 11 December 1888, of 11 December to 17 December 1889 Governor Sir John Pope Hennessyals. After use as Chief Secretary in Hong Kong in 1890, he took over after 1892 officially the governorship of Sierra Leone by William Hollingworth Quayle Jones, who had last representative exercised the office in his capacity as Chief Secretary and also during the tenure of Fleming until 1894 at his absence was deputy governor. Subsequently, he was from 1895 to 1901 Governor of the Leeward Islands.

He married 1892 Constance Kavanagh and was knighted in the same year. According to him, in Wan Chai since the late 19th century a road named.
