Francis J. Kane

Francis Joseph Kane ( born October 30, 1942 in Chicago, United States) is Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago.

Life

Francis Kane received on 14 May 1969 the Archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal John Cody, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On 24 January 2003, Pope John Paul II appointed Titular Bishop of Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan and auxiliary bishop in Chicago. The Archbishop of Chicago, Francis Cardinal George, OMI, gave him on 19 March of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the retired auxiliary bishop in Chicago, Raymond Emil Goedert, and the Bishop of Nuevo Laredo, Ricardo Watty Urquidi MSPs.
