Francis Raymond Shea

Francis Raymond Shea ( born December 4, 1913 in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA; † August 18, 1994 ) was Bishop of Evansville.

Life

Francis Raymond Shea received on 19 March 1939, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On December 1, 1969, Pope Paul VI appointed him. Bishop of Evansville. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Luigi Raimondi, donated to him on February 3, 1970, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Indianapolis, George Joseph Biskup, and the Bishop of Nashville, Joseph Aloysius Durick.

On March 11, 1989 Pope John Paul II accepted the Francis Raymond Shea put forward reasons of age resignation.
