Francis Xavier Bianchi

Francesco Saverio Bianchi ( Francesco Saverio Maria Bianchi, born December 2, 1743 Arpino, Campania, Italy, † January 31, 1815 in Naples ) was an Italian monk and mystic who has become known as the "Apostle of Naples ".

Life

Francesco Saverio Bianchi came in 1762 in the Barnabitenorden (formerly the Congregation of the Clerics Regular of St. Paul called ) a. As Barnabit he has worked in the education of young people and in pastoral care.

As a professor and member of the Academy of Sciences in Naples, he taught rhetoric and philosophy only in Arpino and then in Naples. Later, Bianchi cared more for the sick and poor, he had prophetic gifts and the gift of miracles.

Francesco Saverio Bianchi in 1893 and blessed in 1951 canonized.
