Francisco Coll Guitart

St. Francisco Coll y Guitart OP ( born May 18, 1812 in Gombreny, Spain, † April 2, 1875 ibid ) was Chaplain of the Dominicans and is a saint of the Catholic Church. His Catholic Memorial in the liturgy is the 2nd of April.

Life

Francisco Coll, the youngest of ten children in a working class family, joined in 1828 the Congregation of the Dominicans at. According to philosophical and theological studies, he received the priesthood in 1838.

Subsequently, he worked as a pastor and missionary to the people of his rural home.
