Francisco González Valer

Francisco González Valer SF ( May 22nd, 1939 in Arcos de Jalon ) is a Spanish priest and auxiliary bishop in Washington.

Life

Francisco González Valer joined the Congregation of the Sons of the Holy Family, and received on 1 May 1964, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop on 28 December 2001 in Washington and Titular Bishop of Lamphua. The Archbishop of Washington, Cardinal Theodore Edgar McCarrick, consecrated him on February 11 of next year to the bishop; Co-consecrators were James Aloysius Cardinal Hickey, Archbishop Emeritus of Washington, and Leonard James Olivier, SVD, Auxiliary Bishop of Washington.
