Francisco Moreno Capdevila

Francisco Moreno Capdevila ( born January 18, 1926 in Barcelona, † 13 May 1995 Mexico City) was a Mexican painter, printmaker and sculptor of Spanish origin.

Biography

Moreno came in 1939 as a political refugee to Mexico and took Mexican citizenship. Under Santos Balmori and Carlos Alvarado Lang, he learned the painting and the art of drawing, and turned with great enthusiasm increasingly the wall painting. In addition to painting, graphic, drawing, engraving and illustrations he dealt equally with sculpture and taught at the products resulting from the Academia de San Carlos Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas ( ENAP ).

Since 1988 he was a member of the Academia de Artes.
