Franck is a small impact crater near the north end of the Sinus Amoris, a bay in the northern part of the Sea of ​​Tranquility. The crater is located southeast of Brewster and south of the crater Romans. The circular, bowl -shaped crater has a narrow edge and has no traces of erosion on. The interior walls fall to the center from now and make a small crater in the center ground. On its northern side it is accompanied by a pair of smaller craters and together the three form a strike group.

Marriage Franck in 1973 by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU) got its own name, he was called Roman K.
