François Du Bois

Life and musical career
François Du Bois was 8 years old and made his first music lessons from his career with 17. At the age 16 to 26 he followed both a career as a percussionist in the Symphony Orchestra as well as that of a jazz drummer. In the field of classical music, he has collaborated with Lorin Maazel, Olivier Messiaen, Mstislav Rostropovich, and jazz, among others, Richard Galliano, Trilok Gurtu, Dominique Di Piazza, Abbey Lincoln together.
At the age of 20 he decided to Burkina Faso, Africa pull to there music to perfect themselves and to gain new experiences. There he suffered a lengthy malaria from which he recovered again. Influences of African music, associated with shamanism, new avenues are opened for music him. After his return to France, he completed his training with Ray Lema, a well-known African composer, singer and founder of the National Ballet of Zaire ( now the Democratic Republic of Congo).
Du Bois founded the duo with the Canadian violinist Helene Collerette (now first violinist in the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France ) as well as with the Australian violinist Jane Peters ( Tchaïkovsky Prize winner ), with whom he undertook a concert tour of Germany. "With marimba and violin to the top " headlined the ' Rhein-Zeitung ". With the pianist Ludovic Selmi he toured Europe and Japan. They also worked with " Les Tambours du Bronx " together. After the dissolution of the duo focused Du Bois on composing and recording.
In 1998 he left Paris to expand his musical horizons in Tokyo. There is speculation that his wife was the real reason for the move to Japan. At Keio University, where many Japanese politicians, managers and lawyers were studying, he started a composition class. In the same year he founded the " l' Orchestre d' autre part " in which 14 Marimbaphonisten and play taiko. With two former students of Keiko Abe, he took on the marimba CD " Origine ". NHK invited him to the 30- minutigen live broadcast " Studio Park, special - François Du Bois ", a television program that tracked tens of millions of viewers.

Dubois method
François Du Bois is the founder of a career planning method, which was named after him and which he teaches at Academy Hills since 2003.
He is chairman of an Institute called D- Project, which offers courses for company employees and company executives in which they learn to develop their creativity. In his seminars, among others, the music is used in its original type, as Du Bois learned and experienced in Africa itself was allowed. Games and exercises based on Chinese martial arts and traditional Chinese medicine should help to participate, to find a balance between body, mind, intelligence and sensitivity.
Since 2012 he teaches students the famous " Attackers Business School " by Kenichi Ohmae 's " Du Bois " method.
Martial Arts
Du Bois is also known for his kung fu lessons. In 2009 he received after training in the mountains of Wudang (2008-2009) the title of " first international successor of the internal martial arts of Wudang ". In Tokyo, he founded in 2009 the first school of Wudang Kung Fu. In the fourth Wushu World Championships (2010), he won and his team per one gold, one silver and two bronze medals. For the 2012 competition You Bois was as head of the Japanese delegation, consisting of 94 athletes selected. His own team consisting of six participants was able to win a total of seven bronze medals.

Marimba guide
François Du Bois is the author of a handbook for marimba, which consists of three parts ( "The 4 Sticks Marimba " by IMD). In the preface of Keiko Abe says, " The pedagogical approach that is based on this text, has a certain creativity in itself and offers an interesting method Marima learn.
