François Omam-Biyik

François Omam - Biyik ( born May 21, 1966 in Sackbayene, Cameroon ) is a former football player from Cameroon. He also holds French citizenship.

National

During his playing career he took part with the Cameroonian national football team at the FIFA World Cups in 1990, 1994 and 1998. He completed 63 caps for Cameroon.

One of the biggest moments of his career earned him his goal in a 1-0 victory against Cameroon reigning world champions Argentina in the opening match of the Football World Cup 1990 in Italy. In the Football World Cup 1994, he also scored one goal in the group stage match against Sweden.

Coaching career

In August 2010, Omam - Biyik was as an assistant coach of the Spaniard Javier Clemente 's who appointed the Cameroonian national football team looked after. In addition, he has been training since December 2010, the Cameroon B national team.

Private

François is the father of the Mexican U -17 national player Emilio Omam - Biyik and a cousin of former Cameroon U -20 national team Francis Eliezer Omam.
