Geography
Expansion
All houses Francops are on a long road. The road often changes but the name. From West to East: Forty pieces, wiper High Street, Hinterdeich.
Neighboring districts
North at Francop borders Finkenwerder in Hamburg-Mitte district, just east of the Old Werder, south - east of Moor Castle and home breakage, south to Neugraben- Fischbek and west to Neuenfelde.
History
The first written mention dates from Francops 1235, the emergence of the village, however, earlier, mid-12th century believed. The name refers to a man named Franko or Franke as a local founder. The auxiliary cop or koop originates from the Middle Dutch and returns to municipal officials who attended on behalf of the manorial system for the recruitment of colonists, who often came from the Netherlands in the southern Elbmarsch.
1937 Francop was just like some other communities in the Prussian district of Harburg through the Greater Hamburg Act part of Hamburg.
