Frank Joseph Caggiano

Frank Joseph Caggiano ( born March 29, 1959 in Brooklyn ) is Bishop of Bridgeport.

Life

The Bishop of Brooklyn, John Francis Mugavero, ordained him a priest on May 16, 1987.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him auxiliary bishop on 6 June 2006 in Brooklyn and Titular Bishop of Inis Cathaig. The Bishop of Brooklyn, Nicholas DiMarzio Anthony, donated to him on 22 August of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Thomas Vose Daily, Bishop Emeritus of Brooklyn, and Ignatius Anthony Catanello, Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn. As a motto he chose Dominus Jesus Christ.

On July 31, 2013, Pope Francis Caggiano as Bishop of Bridgeport. On 19 September of that year he was introduced to the office.
