Thomas Vose Daily

Thomas Vose Daily ( born September 23, 1927 in Belmont ) is Bishop Emeritus of Brooklyn.

Life

Thomas Vose Daily received on 10 January 1952, the ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Boston.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on 31 December 1974 Auxiliary Bishop of Boston and Titular Bishop of Bladia. The Archbishop of Boston, Humberto Sousa Cardinal Medeiros, donated to him on February 11 of next year episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Boston Thomas Joseph Riley and Lawrence Joseph Riley.

On July 17, 1984, he was appointed the first Bishop of Palm Beach. On February 20, 1990, he was appointed Bishop of Brooklyn and introduced into the office on 18 April of the same year. On 1 August 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation due to age.
