Frank Nelson (athlete)

Frank Nelson ( Frank Thayer Nelson; May 22nd, 1887 in Detroit, Michigan, † July 16, 1970 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan) was an American pole vaulter.

At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 he won with his personal best of 3.85 m and the silver medal, together with his fellow countryman Marc Wright. Also the winner Harry Babcock (3.95 m) came from the USA.
