Frank Shaughnessy, Jr.
Francis John Shaughnessy Jr. ( born June 21, 1911 in Roanoke, Virginia; † June 12, 1982 in Montreal, Quebec ) was an American- Canadian professional ice hockey player.
Career
Francis Shaughnessy attended McGill University, where he played concurrently with his studies Hockey. At the Winter Games in 1936, the Canadian was able to attend due to his birthplace for the USA with a U.S. passport,. After his hockey career, he worked for a telephone company. For several decades he was active in the Canadian Olympic Association and was active in various Canadian winter sport federations.
Internationally
For the U.S., Shaughnessy took part in the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch -Partenkirchen, where he won the bronze medal with his team.
