Frank van Eijs

Frank van Eijs ( born November 2, 1971 in Stone ) is a former Dutch football player who was in the course of his career in eight countries under contract.

Career

Frank van Eijs began his active career at amateur club RKVV ITS in stone. After engagements at Fortuna Sittard and the RKFC Lindenheuvel he played in the Belgian amateur football first at CS Mechelen- aan -de- Maas and the following season at RC Mechelen. It was followed by a trial with English professional club Oxford United before he returned to the Netherlands and played at FC Vinkenslag.

1999 graduated from the center-back a successful trial with the Scottish first division club FC Dundee and came in the 1999/2000 season to 16 league operations. In his second year at Dundee he was no longer considered by player-manager Ivano Bonetti and left the club after his contract expires in May 2001.

After a few weeks the German third division Rot-Weiss Essen, he returned for a short time for TOP Oss in the Netherlands, led him before his next commitment to the Chinese first division Qingdao. In 2003 he returned to Europe and played in Germany for SV Meppen in the Oberliga Niedersachsen / Bremen.

In October 2004, van Eijs joined the relegation-threatened German Oberliga side Borussia Freialdenhoven, left the club but after five appearances at the end again and moved to Vietnam to Ha Noi ACB. In March 2005, he signed a contract with the New Zealand A- League club New Zealand Knights. After a disastrous first season in which there were only six points from 21 games to beech, he was hardly taken into account in the 2006 / 07 and left the club after the first half of the season. After his return to the Netherlands he was still active for the amateur club FC Vinkenslag.
