Franz Martinelli

Franz Martinelli or Francesco Martinelli (* 1651 in Lake Como, † October 28, 1708 in Vienna ) was an Austrian architect born in Italy.

In 1683 he delivered his masterpiece from a master builder in Vienna. He participated in the construction of St. Peter's, the Servite church and at the Esterházy Palace at the Wallnerstraße in Vienna.

He worked mostly for the Esterházy family. 1695 to 1702 he led the construction of the Parish and Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption in woman Churches ( Burgenland), commissioned by Prince Paul Esterhazy I., by.

His sons Anton Erhard Martinelli and Johann Baptist Martinelli were also architects.
