Fred Bongusto
Fred Bongusto (actually Alfredo Antonio Carlo Buongusto, born April 6, 1935 in Campobasso) is an Italian singer and composer.
Life
Bongusto began his musical career in 1960 as part of the I 4 Loris, with whom he published his first singles; from 1963 he worked as a singer with Fred Bongusto & il suo complesso as the front man on stage. In the nature of the crooner he enjoyed success, which led to numerous recordings, film soundtracks and 37 LPs.
In 1967 he married Gabriella Palazzoli; in the 1970s he began numerous tours, he performed until 2007 with great success ( outside of Italy, especially in South America).
In the 1990s, he was elected as a local politician for the Partito Socialista Italiano in Bari. In May 2005 he received the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
