Frederick, Duke of Mecklenburg-Grabow

Friedrich, Duke of Mecklenburg [- Schwerin ], sometimes falsely: Frederick I, called Prince of Grabow (* February 13, 1638 in Schwerin, † April 28, 1688 in Grabow ) was apanagierter Prince in Grabow.

Under the company name The Fügliche he was accepted as a member of the Fruitbearing society.

Life

Frederick 's son (10th child) of Duke Adolf Friedrich I and his second wife Marie Catherine ( 1616-1665 ), daughter of Duke Ernst Julius of Brunswick- Dannenberg ( 1571-1636 ).

By his late birth, he never got himself to reign and remained a apanagierter Prince. Through his childless brother's death but were his three sons one after ruling dukes of Mecklenburg [- Schwerin ]. Friedrich 1667 Canon at Strasbourg and resided already in 1669 in Grabow. Frederick was buried after the fire of the castle in Grabow of 3 June 1725 in the shelf St. Nikolai church in Schwerin, after he was originally buried in the crypt of the castle to Grabow. He was from 28 May 1671 Christine Wilhelmine of Hesse -Homburg (* June 30, 1653 in Bingen Home, † May 16 1722 in Grabow ), the daughter of Wilhelm Christoph of Hesse- Homburg, married and had longer with her four living children:
