Free State Project

The Free State Project ( FSP) (English about: "Project for a free state " ) is an American libertarian initiative whose goal is 20,000 " liberty -oriented " bring people together to emigrate jointly in the state of New Hampshire and there to achieve maximum political, economic and personal freedom.

History

The Free State Project was officially founded on 1 September 2001. One of the initiators was the former Yale student and now assistant professor at the University of Buffalo Jason Soren.

In March 2013, the Free State Project had almost 14,000 participants ( members), of which 1,100 are pulled over after New Hampshire.

A number of members of the Free State Project in New Hampshire has been in public office at the local and state level as representatives of both major U.S. parties - Republicans and Democrats - elected. For the election of the House of Representatives from New Hampshire in 2010 received at least 12 "Free Staters " in the parliament, mainly as a representative of the Republican Party. Approximately the same number of seats were members of the Free State Project in the subsequent 2012 election win or hold, although the Republicans suffered a serious electoral defeat and lost its majority to the Democrats.
