Freebird Games

Freebird Games is an independent game developer company, founded in 2007 by Kan " Reives " Gao. To create games with a focus on the history for Windows with the RPG Maker XP. They became known by their commercial game To the Moon.

History

Freebird Games began as a personal project of Kan Gao. Later, the team was bigger and now consists of him, Jessica M. Vázquez, James Q. Zhang and Gabriela A.

They started with their project Quintessence: The Blighted Venom on, a continuous free computer role-playing game series. Eleven chapters have been published, the last chapter was released on 11 October 2009. On May 6, 2008, they released their first full game The Mirror song. It is described as an abstract short story. Their second game Do You Remember My Lullaby? was published on 21 December 2008. On 20 June 2009, it published a demo of an upcoming game, entitled Lyra 's Melody - The Song She Whispered to Me Their first commercial release To the Moon, which was released on 1 October 2011, was a commercial success and received positive reviews. On 28 March 2012, the official German translation appeared for the game. The game includes a theme song, titled Everything's Alright by Laura Shigihara, further comprising a song for Quintessence: The Blighted Venom has received. On September 8, 2012 To the Moon was released on Steam and also the first time in French and Italian.

At the moment they are working on a sequel to To The Moon, as well as another short story set in the same world.
