French submarine Casabianca (S603)

The Casa Bianca (S 603) is a tactical nuclear submarine of the French Navy. Its original name was Bourgogne. Later it was renamed after the successful but during the Second World War the French submarine Casabianca. The name is due to the Napoleonic naval officer Luc -Julien -Joseph Casabianca. The Casa Bianca is the third boat of the Rubis class.

The nuclear -powered submarine has been modernized between 1993 and 1994 on the state of Améthyste class.
