Fria Prefecture

Fria is a prefecture in the region Boké in Guinea with about 81,000 inhabitants. Like all Guinean Prefectures it is after its capital, Fria, named.

The prefecture is located in the west of the country and covers an area of 2,175 km ². In Fria is large bauxite deposits as well as the largest aluminum plant in Africa.
