Friedl Czepa

Friedl Czepa ( born September 3, 1898 in Amstetten, † June 22, 1973 in Vienna; native Friederike Pfaffeneder ) was an Austrian actress.

Life

She attended a trade school and worked for two years at a bank, then as a kindergarten teacher and X- sister. Finally, she took dance lessons at the Vienna Conservatory and studied acting with Aurel Nowottny. In 1931 she received an engagement at the Theater in der Josefstadt. Friedl Czepa occurred mainly in the professional salon lady or character actress. Her stage work, she also led to Munich and Frankfurt am Main.

From 1934 she appeared in movies, where she has starred or important supporting roles in the early years. After the "Anschluss of Austria" in 1938 they welcomed the occasion of the " referendum " Nazi leaders: " It's done. We thank from overflowing heart to our beloved leader. " From 1940 to 1945 she was director of the Vienna theater.

After the Second World War she received as a sympathizer of the Nazi regime initially banned from working, but was soon successful in Munich, Vienna and Berlin on the stage. While they only perceived smaller tasks in the film, she was re- popularized by the television series Family Leitner Leitner Mama.

She was married to the radiographers Alois Czepa, later with director Hans Schott - Schöbinger and then with the actor Rolf Wanka. Her grave is in the local cemetery in Vienna Stammersdorf (Part A, number 8, number 84).
