Friedrich August Brand
Friedrich August Brand ( born December 20 1735 in Vienna, † October 9, 1806 ) was an Austrian landscape and historical painter and engraver.
Friedrich August Brand was the son of God Christian Help Fire (1695-1750) and brother of Johann Christian Brand and Carl Heinrich Brand ( 1724-1787 ). He learned the landscape painting with his father. From the year 1774 a member of the Vienna Academy, he was its successors since 1776 corrector with his brother Johann Christian, from 1783 professor and after his death in 1795. He wrote a large number of watercolors and engravings, in which the influence of Jacob Matthias polluters is clear and oil paintings in the Lower Austrian churches. He died in 1806 in Vienna.
