Friedrich zu Limburg-Stirum

Friedrich Wilhelm Graf zu Limburg- Stirum ( born August 6 1835 in The Hague, The Netherlands, † October 27, 1912 in United - Peterwitz ) was a German diplomat, politician and Foreign Secretary of the German Empire.

Life

He was first envoy and Deputy Secretary of State in the Foreign Office when he became the successor of Clovis to Hohenlohe Acting Foreign Secretary in September 1880. This office he held until his replacement by Clemens Busch on June 25, 1881.

In February 1892 there was a scandal about him. 1898 to 1907 he served as representative of the DKP member of the Reichstag ( MdR ).

1904 Honorary Doctorate of Law ( LL.D. ), he was awarded the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

He was in 1854 a member and later an honorary member of the Corps Borussia Bonn.
