Friedrichsberg (Lower Bavaria)

The observation tower at the summit

The Lower Bavarian Friedrich Berg is located in the southern Bavarian forest between the villages Breiteberg and Wegscheid in the district of Passau near the border with Upper Austria.

On its summit stands for some years an observation tower that allows a comprehensive panorama in all directions, on clear days at Föhneinfluss see as far as the Alps from the dead mountains to the Kaiser Mountains. The Friedrich mountain can be climbed over several hiking trails in a short time from the surrounding villages and hamlets.
