Fudge Tunnel

Fudge Tunnel was a band that was founded in Nottingham, England, by Alex Newport, David Riley and Adrian Parkin in 1989 and in 1995 separated again.

History

After two singles released ( Fudge Tunnel in 1989 and The Sweet Sound of Excess 1990) Pigboy Records, they signed with Nottingham's Earache Records. Their debut album was Hate Songs in E Minor, which became a major press attention after the album cover was confiscated.

Two more albums followed: Creep Diets (1993 ) and The Complicated Futility of Ignorance (1994). Also, there was a collaboration between Max Cavalera ( Sepultura ) and Alex Newport under the name Nailbomb. They produced a studio album ( Point Blank ) and a live album, and a live DVD. The band broke up after that as planned again.

After the third album was released, the band broke up. David Riley ran his label BGR Records for a time. Adrian Parkin played with Tubesurfer until 1996, this band broke up. Alex Newport started a successful career as a producer / mixer and now lives in New York where he runs his own studio. He has produced albums for At the Drive-In, The Mars Volta, The Icarus Line, Ikara Colt and many others. He founded the band Theory of Ruin, published an album ( Counter Culture Nosebleed ) and one EP ( Front Line Poster Child ), both at Escape Artist Records.
