Fuduntu

Fuduntu Linux was a focused on desktops rolling -release Linux distribution. The goal of the distribution project was to provide an aesthetically pleasing user experience with current applications on the desktop, notebook or netbook. The distribution included a classic desktop with Gnome 2 side open source software and proprietary software such as Adobe Flash or Steam was included that was asked to install their software repository. Fuduntu was optimized for low power consumption and offered tools to maximize the battery life. History

Fuduntu was created by Andrew Wyatt launched to combine the advantages of Linux distributions, Fedora and Ubuntu and utilize optimally on an Asus Eee netbook. Fuduntu was originally developed on the basis of Fedora, but used since the fork of Fedora 14 in early November 2011 a separate code base. Therefore, the packages created for current versions of Fedora could be incompatible. On April 28, 2013, the project team announced the end of Fuduntu. Special Features

Because of the focus on low energy consumption are at Fuduntu the / tmp and / var / log directories in a RAM disk. Andrew Wyatt

Andrew Wyatt is the founder and project manager of Fuduntu project. He is a qualified Linux Systems Architect and Engineer, and RHCE and worked for 16 years as a technology leader in the deployment and management of IT solutions.

Criticism
