Führerreserve

The leader was a reserve established by the higher levels of command of the Wehrmacht during the Second World War temporarily unemployed reserve of officers ( " leaders " ) who were waiting for a new use.

The high command of the armed forces, the army groups and armies possessed their own leaders reserves about using them they could decide at their own discretion. Especially in the second half of the war politically unpopular or military disability were increasingly accused officers placed in the leaders reserve. Members of the reserve leaders had to adapt to their assigned duty station stop and kept at the disposal of its superior authority, but were allowed to engage in any commands.
