Fujiwara no Tameie

Fujiwara no Tameie (Japanese藤原 为 家; * 1198, † May 27, 1275 ) was a Japanese poet.

Life

The son of the famous Fujiwara no Teika occurred from the mid- 1230s years emerged as the author of waka poems. In 1251 he completed the 10th imperial collection of poems Shoku gosen Wakashū (続 后 撰 和 歌集). Even in the development of the collection Shoku kokin Wakashū (続 古今 和 歌集), which appeared in 1265, he was involved. He wrote about 2000 waka poems, of which almost 500 were included in the imperial collections. 1241 he received the post of Gon - Dainagon and 1250 the Minister for Home Affairs ( mimbu - kyō ). 1256 he moved withdrew from public life and lived as a Buddhist monk under the name Mimbukyō - Nyudo. At the imperial court was known as Kemarispieler.

Fujiwara no Tameie was married in second marriage with the poet Abutsu -ni, with whom he had two sons. Between his sons from his first marriage Nijo Tameuji ( Fujiwara no Tameuji ) and Kyogoku Tamenori, and the first son from his second marriage Reizei Tamesuke he later came to dispute about the father's heir, establishing the rival poets families Nijo ( school of poets Nijo -ha, not related to the clan of the Nijo ), Kyogoku ( school of poets Kyogoku -ha ) and Reizei led.
