Fußball-Oberliga Niederrhein

The Oberliga Niederrhein ( Lower Rhine League Association until 2008, by 2012 the Lower Rhine League ) is the top division of the Football Association of the Lower Rhine. It thus forms the plane of the league, who is currently fifth highest class in the German league system.

History

The League was founded in 1956 with sixteen clubs as the highest league of football association Lower Rhine. Previously, the three still existing under the Association League national league were the top divisions of the association.
