FYN

The tyrosine kinase Fyn is an enzyme in vertebrates, the phosphorylation of several proteins at the amino acid tyrosine catalyzed ( tyrosine kinase ). This reaction is part of a dozen signaling pathways that are essential for embryonic development of the brain and its subsequent function. In humans, Fyn controls the growth of axons and the calcium content of cells. Of the three known isoforms "B" particularly in the brain, and ' T' is expressed in T cells.
