Gaasterlân-Sleat

Gaasterlân - Sleat (Dutch: Gaasterland - Sloten ) ( listen / i?) Was a municipality of the province of Friesland (Netherlands). She had 10,192 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The merger of the former municipalities Gaasterlân - Sleat, Lemsterland and Skarsterlân established on 1 January 2014, the new congregation De Friese Meren.

Gaasterlân - Sleat is located on the IJsselmeer, in the south of the province.

The administrative headquarters was Balk, the other places are in the former rural community: Bakhuizen, Elahuizen, Harich, Kolderwolde, Mirns, Nijemirdum, Oudega, Workum, Rijs, Ruigahuizen, Sloten, Sondel s Wijckel.
