Gáborján

Gáborján is a municipality in the small area Berettyóújfalu in eastern Hungary. The town lies on the River Berettyó.

History

Gáborján was inhabited before the Mongol invasion, then known as the Monastery ( Monastery Geberján ). First mentioned in the 15th century, at that time still existed different spellings: Géberjén, Gabrian, Gabañ, Gagan, Gabran.
