Gabriela Drăgoi

Gabriela " Gabi " Drăgoi ( born August 28, 1992, Buzău, Buzău county ) is a Romanian gymnast.

Career

Drăgoi comes from a poor family from Focşănei and grew up with four older siblings and no father. She began gymnastics at the age of five years with CSS. Buzău under the guidance of Gabriela Robu. Later, she was cared for in Deva of Valerian coach Nicolae Forminte. Your first major appearance in the Romanian national team they had at the European Gymnastics Championships 2008, when Romania won the title in the team competition. In 2008 she was also national champion on balance beam.

Drăgoi won with the Romanian national team at the 2008 Olympics, the bronze medal in the team competition and was ranked 5 on the balance beam. For other devices Finals they could not qualify. Gabriela Drăgoi is 1,46 m tall, her competition weight is 37 kg.

Awards

2008 was Gabriela Drăgoi by President Traian Băsescu initially the Order of Merit " Meritul sporty " III. Class, to enable their Olympic medal in August of the same year with the Order of Merit " Meritul sporty " III. Class to be awarded two marks. In 2008 and 2009 she was voted best athlete of the year in the county Buzău.
