Gaby Dohm

Gaby Dohm ( born September 23, 1943 in Salzburg as Gabriele Helena Anna Dohm ) is a German - Austrian actress.

Life

Dohm is the daughter of actors Heli Finkenzeller and Will Dohm. Your education she received at the School of Sacred Heart Sisters in Berlin. First Gaby Dohm wanted to be an illustrator of children's books; but this dream failed because of the strict inclusion provisions of the Berlin Academy, for which she was too young. However, the Berlin drama teacher Else Bongers recognized Dohm's stage talent, trained them and encouraged them.

Your first appearances had Gaby Dohm at Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus, the breakthrough came, however, at the Munich Residenz Theater, where she was employed from 1966 until the mid- 1980s. It occupied almost the entire repertoire of classical and modern stage roles. In collaboration with director Ingmar Bergman she got especially good reviews for the role in Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy, and in 1982 the Munich audience award for best actress for display in Scenes from a Marriage. In addition to the theater, she also worked repeatedly for television. Your first television appearance was in 1964 in my niece Susanne. In 1971, she played the female lead role in the movie A Case for Mr. Schmidt by Falk Harnack.
