Gadag - Betageri ( Kannada: ಗದಗ - ಬೆಟಗೇರಿ Gadaga - Betageri [ ɡʌd̪ʌɡʌ beʈʌɡe ː ri ]; too; Gadag - Betgeri, Gadag - Betigeri ) is a twin city in the Indian state of Karnataka with around 170,000 inhabitants ( 2011 census ). It consists of the two cities Gadag and Betageri. Gadag - Betageri is the administrative seat of the district of Gadag.

Gadag - Betageri is located in the north-central Karnataka 390 km northwest of Bangalore and 57 kilometers east of Hubli -Dharwad at an altitude of around 650 meters above sea level on the Deccan plateau. Through the City of National Highway 63 leads from Ankola on the west coast about Hubli and Guntakal after Gooty in the neighboring federal state of Andhra Pradesh. Over the railway line from Hubli to Guntakal Gadag - Betageri is connected to the railway network.

In and around Gadag is a series of monuments from the Chalukya period (11th - 12th century). The most important in the city itself are the Trikuteshwara and the Veeranarayana Temple. Also worth seeing is the Friday Mosque ( Jumma Masjid ) of the 17th century.
