Geography

Geographical location

Gaienhofen lies on the south and east side of the peninsula on the Hori submarine to the Swiss municipality of Steckborn and the ( German ) island of Reichenau.

Neighboring communities

The municipality is bordered on the southwest by Oehningen, on the northwest by moss. The rest of the municipal boundary is the shore of the lower lake.
