Gainward

Gainward is a computer hardware manufacturer that specializes in the production and development of high-performance 3D graphics cards, which are used primarily in the computer game scene.

Gainward was founded in 1984, is headquartered in Taipei and belongs since 2005 to Palit Microsystems. The European office is based in Martinsried near Munich. The production facilities are located in Shenzhen (China) and Wugu Taipei ( Taiwan).

Gainward used exclusively since 2000 graphics chipsets manufacturer Nvidia. Since the launch of the RV770 chip from AMD / ATI in 2008 Gainward was also AMD partners and offered the meantime also graphics cards with ATI graphics processors, but for some time again Nvidia exclusive partners. How many competing companies also offers Gainward to factory- overclocked graphics cards.
