Gaius Caecilius Metellus Caprarius was a Roman politician of the late second century BC

Gaius Caecilius Metellus Caprarius was the youngest son of Quintus Caecilius Metellus Macedonicus. He served under Scipio Aemilianus in 133 BC against Numancia. Not later than 117 BC he was praetor and consul in the year 113 BC. This year and in the following two years as proconsul Caprarius was in Macedonia and Thrace, and received for his military successes in Thrace, a triumph, which he held in 111 BC Quintilis ( July); on the same day also triumphed his brother Marcus Caecilius Metellus over Sardinia. Caprarius was 102 BC, along with his cousin Quintus Caecilius Metellus Numidicus censor.
