Gänsemarkt (Hamburg U-Bahn station)

Metro Station Goose Market is a stop on the Hamburg U -Bahn line U2 in the Neustadt district with the same name space.

History

The station was built as part of the center line of the diameter line U2 between Schlump and Berliner Tor in the late 1960s. The opening took place - as in the neighboring station halls - on May 31, take place in 1970. Until the completion of underground rapid transit node Jungfernstieg in 1973, which allowed the through traffic to Berliner Tor, the provisional line U22 of Schlump ended here. Then the goose market was continuously operated by the U2 line.
