Garango Department

Garango is a city ( commune urbaine ) and a department in the West African nation of Burkina Faso, in the region of Centre- Est and the province Boulgou. The city is located north of the mountain Boulgou and has 71 408 inhabitants.

Geography

Garango covers an area of ​​about 79 km ². The city is divided into seven sectors and contains 14 villages ( quartiers traditionnels ). The association came at the direction of the military authorities in 1958. 1960 was Garango seat of a sub-prefecture.
