Gare de Javel

The station Javel (French: Gare de Javel ) is a station of the Paris RER rapid transit network. It is served by the RER line C since 1979. It was opened to the commissioning of the Ligne d' Invalides from Versailles to the station Musée d' Orsay in 1900 by the Compagnie de l' Ouest. The track is located in this section in a cutting, so no level crossings are required. Originally called the Pont Mirabeau station.

The station building has been designed by the architect Juste Lisch. The station building was built at street level and is located above the tracks. There is ever a staircase to each platform. The platforms are equipped with a weather protection.

In 2005, the station was used daily 7500-15000 travelers ..

The metro Javel - André Citroën, however, on the line 10 is not directly linked to the station.
