Gare de Lyon (Paris Métro)

Gare de Lyon is an underground station of the Paris Métro. It is located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. The station is served by the metro line 1 and the Métro Line 14 of the Paris metro system. The name gives the overlying Highway Gare de Lyon. There is transit traffic to the RER A and RER D at the Gare de Lyon and linked underground to aboveground part, the third largest and most important railway station for TGV trains to Paris, Lyon and Marseille. The station is a major transfer hubs in the center of Paris. With about 85,000 passengers a day was the station in 2004 the third most busiest station of the Metro.

The station was taken on July 19, 1900 opening of the line 1 is in operation. These perverted then at the Porte de Vincennes Porte Maillot section. Between July 1906 and December 1906 also reversed the line 5 through the Station. The last expansion of the station was the opening of the station part of the line 14 on 15 October 1998.
