Garry Hay

Garry Hay ( born September 7, 1977 in Irvine ) is a former Scottish footballer. The most in his career playing as a left-back Hay came for his hometown club FC Kilmarnock 1999-2013 in more than 300 league games for use. Greatest success in the career should be the victory in the Scottish League Cup in 2012 over Celtic.

Gary Hay was born in Irvine, a coastal town in south west Scotland, began his career in about eleven kilometers west lying Kilmarnock. For the FC Kilmarnock he played from 1995 to 1999, first in their youth. His debut with the professionals gave Hay on Matchday 1 of the 1999/2000 season under coach Bobby Williamson against Glasgow Rangers was lost with 1:2. On Matchday 2, he scored in the 2-0 home win over FC Aberdeen both goals in the first, which he was able to achieve as a professional at the same time. During this time he played as a midfielder later Hay, however, was converted by the following coaches including Jim Jefferies and Mixu Paatelainen to -back. From the mid- 2000s he was allowed to attend some games as team captain of Killie. With FC Kilmarnock Hay reached three times the final of the Scottish League Cup two of which were lost. In the season 2000/ 01 he succumbed to Celtic Glasgow followed by the final defeat in 2006 /07 in which he served as captain and was lost with 1:5 against Hibernian in the final 0-1. Only at the third finals 2011/12 he won the Cup with a victory against Kilmarnock by Celtic. His career was Hay end with Airdrie United in the Scottish League One for whom he played four times.

Scottish B team

On 6 December 2005 Hay came to a use in the Scottish B- team against Poland, which was won 2-1. As the venue served the Rugby Park, the home ground of FC Kilmarnock.
