Gavin Astor, 2nd Baron Astor of Hever
Gavin Astor, 2nd Baron Astor of Hever ( born June 1, 1918 † 28 June 1984) was a British nobleman and publisher. He was the eldest son of John Jacob Astor, 1st Baron Astor of Hever, and his wife Violet Astor.
Life
He has promoted a degree of Eton College and the College of St. Mary, and was High Sheriff of Sussex in 1955. When his father's death in 1971 he inherited his title and Hever Castle in Kent.
On October 4, 1945, he married Lady Irene Violet Freesia Janet Augusta Haig. The marriage produced five children come from:

- Bridget Mary Astor (* 1948)
- Elizabeth Louise Astor (* 1951)
- Sarah Violet Astor (* 1953)
- Philip Douglas Paul Astor (* 1959)
Astor died in 1984 from cancer.
