Gebre Krestos

Gebre Krestos ( äthiop. ገብረ ክሪስቶስ, " servant of Christ "; † June 8, 1832 ) was dated 18 March 1832 until his death Negus Nagast ( Emperor ) of Ethiopia. He was the son of Gebre Mesay.

The end of race or Regent Ras Ali II, a prince of the Oromo from the district Yejju, Gebre Krestos sat on the throne as a figurehead. A little later, however, he was removed by Ali II himself in favor of his brother Sahle Dengel. Gebre Krestos reigned for three months until his death. Maybe he was poisoned.

After a few months of interregnum came Sahle Dengel again on the throne.
