Geirmund Brendesæter

Geirmund Brendesæter ( born March 22, 1970 in Stord ) is a former Norwegian football player who last played for SK Brann, but also in the Bundesliga with Arminia Bielefeld worked.

Association

Geirmund Brendesæter began his career at the clubs Bremnes IL and Stord IL. In 1991 he moved then to SK Brann Bergen, where he completed 107 games in five years and scored four goals. In 1997, he moved into the football league to Arminia Bielefeld. For Bielefeld he made 13 games. In the same year he returned to SK Brann.

In 2001, he launched a survey on the media whether he should extend his contract or should hang his boots on the nail. It was decided 3525:3429 for a contract extension. Then Brendesæter extended his contract for another two years. In his last game he came off the bench a few minutes before the final whistle and got a standing ovation. He then played in the striker position, where he has played in his youth, but he was in Brann otherwise used only as a defender.

Between 1993 and 1995 he played six caps for the Norwegian national football team.
