Gemma Jones
Gemma Jones ( born December 4, 1942 in London, England, as Jennifer Jones) is a British theater and film actress.
Life
Gemma Jones was the daughter of Irene (nee Isaacs ) and the actor Griffith Jones in London. Her younger brother Nicholas Jones is also an actor. She attended the prestigious London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she received her acting training. Jones worked as a television actress. So she played among others in 1974 in the British television series Fall of the Eagle Princess Victoria from 1976 to 1977 The Duchess of Duke Street the role of Louisa Trotter. In 1995, she starred opposite Kate Winslet, Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson in the film drama Sense and Sensibility as Mrs. Dashwood. Likewise, it is known to the audience through her role as the nurse Mrs. Pomfrey in the Harry Potter films.
